Why is there evil in the world?
NOTE: This
is an excerpt from the book The
Least You Should Know About Life.
The psychologist M. Scott Peck said that during decades of practice,
many people had asked him, “Why is there evil in the world?”
but no one had ever asked the equally logical question, “Why is
there good in the world?” It is as if people know that the world
is fundamentally good and that evil is an abnormality, something that
isn’t supposed to be here.
Based on the previous discussion, it becomes clear that evil is the
result of the consciousness of anti-christ, which makes it possible
for people to separate themselves from God’s purpose and laws.
This traps people behind a veil of illusions that gives rise to many
forms of selfish behavior. People don’t see the underlying oneness
of life and think they can harm others without hurting themselves. People
create their own definitions of good and evil, making it possible for
them to believe – for example – that God will reward them
for killing members of other religions. People simply do not know better,
and thus they cannot do better.

The mind of anti-christ is the option that accompanies free will, and
it remains a temptation until you attain the highest sense of identity
as a son or daughter of God, as the Christ in embodiment. Even Jesus
was tempted by the devil before he started his mission. Thus, evil is
not created by God, it is not the opposite of God and it is not necessary
for God’s plan to unfold. Evil is the result of a choice, but
it is an uninformed choice. Evil springs from ignorance, but it is not
the innocent form of ignorance. It is a willful form of ignorance, whereby
people create an illusion that makes them think what they are doing
is not really evil.
This explains another question, namely why God allowed the serpent to
be in the Garden of Eden. The broadest definition of the serpent is
that it is a symbol for the mind of anti-christ, and before co-creators
attain full Christhood, they must face this temptation, as Jesus did.
Yet there is a more specific meaning, namely that the serpent is a symbol
for co-creators who deliberately rebelled against God’s laws and
are trying to prevent God’s purpose from coming to fruition.
It was earlier explained that God created a number of spheres in the
void. A new sphere has only a limited amount of light, which makes it
possible for the mind of anti-christ to exist in that sphere. There
is still so much darkness that the illusions of the mind of anti-christ
are not exposed for what they are. When a specific sphere reaches a
critical intensity of light, it ascends to a higher vibration, and the
light becomes so intense that there is no darkness left. Thus, there
is no room for the mind of anti-christ to exist in that sphere, there
is no darkness left in which it can hide.

The ascension of a sphere is brought about by a majority of the lifestreams
in that sphere, but because of free will, there is no guarantee that
all inhabitants of a sphere are part of or in agreement with this process.
Thus, there can still be some lifestreams who hold on to the illusions
created by the mind of anti-christ. The law of free will allows them
to do this for a time, but when their sphere ascends, they cannot hold
on to their illusions and remain in that sphere. Thus, they must go
somewhere else, namely a place where there is still sufficient darkness
to allow their illusion of separation to remain. In practical terms,
this means that these lifestreams descend to the newly created sphere,
the sphere created after the previous sphere ascended. This process
is actually described in the Bible:
10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation,
and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ:
for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before
our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word
of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to
the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come
down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath
but a short time.” (Revelation, Chapter 12).
This somewhat
obscure quote describes what happened when the sphere above the material
universe ascended and became part of the spiritual realm. The co-creators
who were still attached to the mind of anti-christ, and who refused
to ascend, had to descend into the material universe. These co-creators
have embodied on Earth, which can explain that some people seem absolutely
committed to evil. Yet they also form a “force” of evil
that can hide behind the veil of misqualified energy created by humankind,
seeking to influence people in embodiment. These disembodied beings
exist in the energy field around planet Earth, and they can influence
people through their egos. Thus, the dualistic beliefs and misqualified
energies that support your ego give these rebellious beings an inroad
into your consciousness, which explains why people can sometimes lose
control of their lives.

The most important fact to understand about such beings is that they
have been cut off from the flow of energy from their own spiritual selves.
Thus, they cannot receive energy directly from above, and they can survive
only by stealing energy from people who still have the connection. That
is why some people and some disembodied spirits are seeking to manipulate
people into committing acts that misqualify energy. Only when energy
is lowered in vibration can these lower beings absorb it.
This explains many of the worst atrocities seen on this planet, such
as meaningless wars, child molestation, rape, serial killing and other
violent crimes. When you look at such actions, you ask, “Why do
people do this, what could possibly be the purpose?” In reality,
the people who perform such acts have no purpose. Their minds are temporarily
– perhaps permanently – taken over by a force that is manipulating
them for the sole purpose of generating misqualified energy that these
beings can use to survive. Thus, much of the conflict between human
beings is truly a battle over spiritual energy. Those who cannot get
it from within themselves have to steal from those who can, the have-nots
must take from the haves.
