Christ and anti-christ — to BE or not to be
NOTE: This
is an excerpt from the book The
Least You Should Know About Life.
When the Creator decided to give co-creators free will, he knew that
it became possible that they could misuse their creative powers. This
could result in the creation of a veil – made of misqualified
energies and incorrect beliefs – that would separate co-creators
(in their own minds, not in reality) from their spiritual teachers,
their spiritual selves and their Creator. They could then forget their
spiritual origin and identity and come to believe they were nothing
more than highly evolved animals and the products of hereditary and
environmental factors. How could the risk of this be minimized and how
could the Creator make sure a co-creator would always have the option
to come back to its true identity, no matter how far it had descended
below it? The Creator came up with an ingenious solution, a cosmic safety
mechanism.

As described
earlier, the Creator started the creative process by contracting its
Being into a singularity, thus creating the void. Since then, the Creator
has gradually been expanding itself in a move to eventually fill up
the void. Thus, there are two basic forces involved in creation, namely
an expanding force (God the Father) and a contracting force (God the
Mother). If the expanding force was dominant, the Creator’s energy
would expand in an uncontrolled explosion and instantly fill up the
void. If the contracting force was dominant, everything would contract
into a black hole and no organized structure could survive. Since the
purpose of creation is to provide a gradual expansion that allows co-creators
to grow in self-awareness, there must be a force that balances the expanding
and contracting forces, thus ensuring a balanced growth that gradually
leads toward the end goal.
The force that is designed to balance the expanding force of the Father
and the contracting force of the Mother is the only begotten Son of
God, namely the universal Christ mind, which the Bible calls the Word.
This is a mind that transcends any single human being, but it is possible
that a human being can attain a sense of unity with this universal mind
and thereby become the Christ in embodiment, become the Word incarnate.
In fact, the highest potential for all human beings is to let the mind
that was in Christ Jesus be in them and thus fulfill their role of being
fully enlightened co-creators who have the dominion of mind over matter
demonstrated by Jesus and other enlightened Beings.

The Christ
mind is designed to be the unifying element behind all of the myriad
manifestations in the world of form. The Christ mind contains the blueprint
for creation, including the Creator’s purpose and all of God’s
spiritual and natural laws. And as the Bible says, “Without him
was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3), meaning that
behind all outer appearances is the one reality of the Christ mind.
The consequence of this is that you can never lose your potential to
reclaim your true identity.
No matter how far you might have descended into a lower state of consciousness
(compared to the consciousness with which you were created), you can
never be completely lost. You ALWAYS have the option of reaching for
the Christ mind, which is the true savior of humankind. Jesus himself
talked about the Christ mind but since he was allowed only to give his
teachings in parables, he used a symbol for it, namely “the kingdom
of God.” That is why he said that the kingdom of God is within
you (Luke 17:21), meaning that the kingdom of God is a state of consciousness.
The Christ mind is the unifying factor that is meant to assure oneness
between the Creator and its creation, specifically the self-conscious
co-creators with free will. It follows that because of free will, co-creators
must be given the option to go against God’s laws. Yet they cannot
go against God’s laws by using the mind of Christ, which means
that the mind of Christ must have an opposite, namely the mind of anti-christ.
The mind of anti-christ is what makes it possible for co-creators to
separate themselves from God and their spiritual teachers, creating
a veil that makes it seem as if they are separated from their Creator,
separated from other co-creators and separated from the planet upon
which they live. This makes it possible for co-creators to forget God’s
purpose for creation or deliberately rebel against that purpose, refusing
to play their intended roles.

When you have some measure of the Christ mind, you see the underlying
oneness of all life, which makes it impossible to hurt others. Jesus
told you to do unto others what you want them to do to you because he
saw the oneness of all life. Thus, he knew that what you do to others,
you are doing to yourself, your greater self. Yet when you are trapped
in the mind of anti-christ, you think you are separated from this self
or that it doesn’t even exist. This gives rise to the illusion
that you can hurt other people without harming yourself. It even creates
the illusion that your actions do not have consequences or that you
can somehow cheat the universe and escape those consequences.
You have no doubt heard the question raised in Shakespeare’s play,
Hamlet, “To be or not to be, that is the question.” The
higher meaning is, “To be the Christ, or not to be the Christ,
that is the real question.” You have the potential to be the Christ
in embodiment, but only you can answer the question of whether you will
choose to be the Christ or choose not to be the Christ.
